The specialized mining press has grown strikingly in recent years in Chile, with a significant number of emerging new media -both print and digital- covering topics related to mining activity. This is a symptom of the continuing expansion of the mining market, the relevance that this activity represents for Chile and the continuing progress of their specialization and professionalization.
Each press media that incorporates mining issues has a particular approach, aiming to deepen in technical, environmental, political, research, mining culture, mining cluster, among others, representing the wide range of topics related to this activity.
Considering this phenomenon, Expomin organization created for the version 2010, a space that will bring together leading media associated with the mining world called "Media Center". In each of the 20 stands, the press media will promote its publications, approaching to visitors their vision and content, and offering attractive promotions for subscription.
Also, the instance is an innovative media tool as it will allow in situ and real time coverage in Expomin 2010, achieving an unprecedented fair connectivity.
With over 200 square meters the Media Center will be located at the entrance of International Pavilion 2B, allowing interaction with the public visiting the exhibition. Will also have Internet points and a snack sector allowing spontaneous visit and additional visitors.
The media already committed to Expomin 2010 are: Mineria Chilena, Portal Minero, Nueva MInería, Electroindustria, Ecoamérica, Norpress, Bnamericas, Revista Certificación, Minería Panamericana, Area Minera, Revista E&MJ, Rumbo Minero, Direcmin, Info Main, Minergia, Horizonte Minero, Gestión Minera, Minera Andina, Especiales AM, Am Business, Minería & Medio Ambiente.
