Equans Chile strengthens its leadership in the mining industry by becoming the Main Sponsor of Expomin 2027 for the third consecutive year. Expomin is Latin America’s most important mining trade show, bringing together thousands of key players in the sector. This strategic alliance reinforces Equans’ commitment to supporting the transition to a more sustainable, safe, and innovative mining industry.

Equans’ value proposition for the mining sector includes the maintenance and operation of electrical and instrumentation systems, mechanical mineral processing equipment, high-voltage transmission lines, and HVAC for critical equipment. It also encompasses EPC projects for electrical infrastructure and control systems, with a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability. Key solutions include Trolley Assist for the electrification of mining trucks, which covers everything from engineering to maintenance, along with the digitalization of industrial processes and energy storage.

To strengthen these capabilities and respond more quickly to the energy, industrial, and digital transitions, the company created two specialized divisions at the corporate level: Equans Digital, focused on the digitalization and optimization of critical assets, and Equans Solar & Storage, which drives advanced solar energy and storage solutions to accelerate the energy transition.

“Being the main sponsor of Expomin 2027 represents a unique opportunity for Equans Latam to strengthen our long-term commitment to the national mining industry. Leveraging our global expertise and deep local knowledge, both in Chile and Peru, we work every day to transform the industry’s challenges—decarbonization, productivity, and safety—into real and sustainable solutions. Our mission is to support our clients in their evolution, driving more efficient, competitive, and responsible mining in the face of future demands,” stated Denis Girault, CEO of Equans LATAM.

Meanwhile, Patricio Varas, Director of Operations for the Northern Zone of Equans Chile, stated that “at Equans Chile, we have built a solid foundation of experience with over 40 years and a team of more than 1,000 professionals distributed across the country’s main mining regions, with our mining headquarters in the city of Antofagasta. This deployment connects us deeply with the communities and the realities of the national mining industry, allowing us to tackle complex projects and contribute innovative solutions that meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and environmental sustainability.”

In the previous edition of the fair, Equans also participated as an official sponsor, attracting over a thousand visitors to its booth, receiving nearly 500 job applications, and participating in two panel discussions focused on the challenges of the future of mining. This experience solidified the company’s position as a key player in the conversation about innovation and sustainable development in the sector.

Varas added: “Expomin is the perfect platform to share our best practices, forge alliances, and actively collaborate in the construction of a more modern, sustainable mining industry linked to the development of the regions.”
