With one year to go before its next edition, Expomin 2027 is beginning to take shape as one of the most important events for the mining industry globally. The trade fair will be held from April 20 to 24, 2027, at Espacio Riesco, consolidating its position as the leading business platform for the sector in Latin America.

In this new edition, the European Union will be the special guest, marking a milestone in the internationalization of the event and strengthening ties of technological cooperation, sustainability, and innovation between Europe and Latin America. This participation will allow for a deeper exchange of knowledge and enhance opportunities for investment and joint development in the mining industry.

Expectations are high. The previous edition of Expomin demonstrated the significant interest the event generates. In 2025, the fair brought together 83,498 visitors, including mining industry professionals, executives, technology providers, authorities, and representatives from the public and private sectors. Of that total, 14,330 were international visitors, reaffirming the event’s global character and its ability to attract participants.

In addition to its role as a meeting point, Expomin has established itself as one of the leading business generation platforms for the mining industry. In its last edition, business opportunities worth USD $1.678 billion were projected, resulting from business meetings, networking, and strategic agreements among participating companies.

Carola Fuentes, General Manager of FISA, highlighted the importance of the new edition. “We are already working to ensure that Expomin 2027 exceeds all expectations. The confirmation of the European Union as special guest reinforces our commitment to a more innovative, sustainable, and globally connected mining sector.”

Fuentes also emphasized the event’s impact on the industry: “Expomin is a key space for generating business and strategic alliances that drive the development of the mining sector in Chile and worldwide, as well as being a technological showcase that will allow attendees to learn about the latest industry trends.”

With a year to go, Expomin 2027 begins its countdown, projecting itself as a key space to address the challenges of the mining of the future, foster international collaboration and continue to drive the growth of an industry fundamental to economic development.
